Just picked this book up. Very good, but more on later campaigns than UK airfield defence although this is covered in some detail.

Airfield defence in the UK was not all about the RAF Regiment, so that is why there is much on the later campaigns - good book.

No, I appreciate that - UK airfield defence was the responsibility of station personnel and local army and Home Guard units. However, after its formation in February 1942, the RAF Regiment sent instructors to many airfields to improve airfield defensive schemes. I had just hoped for a bit more on this aspect of their work.
