It's great to be one of the early members - thanks for the invitation. Not that I may be able to add much as time has slowed me down considerably. But I do have experience of visiting airfields going way back to the 50's so maybe I can chip in occasionally.
I live in Norfolk after sojurns in London and Devon and have travelled extensively. I have loved visiting airfields, mainly military, especially old ones and the film 'Twelve O'Clock High' (where is it, I never see it on the box anymore) sums up the nostalgia I feel for them. Nostalgia may be the right word with operating military airfields disappearing fast. Never mind, I have a microlight strip at the bottom of my garden!
I look forward to making even more friends in the aviation world.
PS. Sorry about using my full name as a 'username' but I like to know who I'm talking to!
