Hi To everyone,
Obviously a "new boy" and very green about anything to do with airfields. I hope no one minds but my contribution to the forum is most likely going to be in the form of "brain picking" sorties. In explanation of this I would like to say that my main interest in airfields comes from my interest in WW2 R.A.F. reenacting and a "group captain" who keeps firing questions to which I don't know the answer, which as R.A.F. personnel I should. These questions are not nescessarily university don standard, but they seem like it to me. As example I was asked, "What is the very beginng of a runway called ?", stunned silence then told look it up which I did and found the answer to be "Treshhold". There I told you I was green and that also gives about the level of question that I may need the answers to.

Hi Ron and welcome.

As REF says, doesn't matter what your knowledge or experience, there's always someone about to help - if we can. Who knows though, a question from a newbie might be one which sparks new discussion, or looks at a subject in a different way!

Join in the fun - look forward to seeing you on the boards.
