While in Thetford today I spotted this plaque on the wall of Link-up Estate agents on King Street

A few that I took of Captain 'Mannering' in Thetford 28-07-2010. Sadly this monument has already been vandalised, someone has nicked his glasses which is why I never took any close-ups as it has left two holes either side of his face where they were inserted.

Must be fairly unique to have a statue to a TV Comedy character.

One of the best TV series in my lifetime. I doubt we will see another make the grade.
