I have had a longstanding interest in aviation from private flying ( I own a flying school at Norwich Airport) through to historic aircraft and WW2 airfield history. I also own a group of companies based in Norfolk that has recently purchased part of the former technical site at RAF Foulsham including one of the T2 hangars, the "shortened" T2 (?B1) hangar that was fire damaged, the square "Ground Equipment" block and the "studio" situated on the Pan hardstand adjacent to the T2.

I have spent much time recently researching the operational history of RAF Foulsham and have had some success tracking down photographs and 35mm film of the airfield during WW2 in addition to the standard books on airfields by Bowman, Freeman et al. I am still very keen to find further photographs, plans aand maps of the airfield, its buildings, aircraft and personnel from its construction through to the current day.

If anyone can help me build a fuller picture of RAF foulsham I would be extremely grateful. Should anyone wish to visit the site and see around on the "inside of the fence" please do not hesitate to contact me through this forum or on email at ian@preva.co.uk directly.

Regards

Ian

Ian: Welcome to AiX. It is good to see current owners joining with an interest in their site. I well remember Foulsham from my time in Norfolk with the RAF. I am sure that the members of AiX will have information for you.

Hi Ian.
It's great when people take on old airfield sites who are actually interested in the buildings and the history.
Welcome!

(Edit: Snap! I must be typing slowly today...)
