Hi everyone, i'm Craig Wise and i was pointed in this direction by Hawkeye001 (Warren)

I'm currently the webmaster on a website called On Target Aviation or as it was known the Cottesmore Aviation Group. I'm ex RAF and heavily into photography. I'm currently living in Cleethorpes with my wife and kids. I'm a web designer by trade.

Welcome to the forum. A low flying Navy Buccaneer caused a load of people to hit the deck at a Biggin Hill Open Day one September in the late 60s. The days when you could walk along the end of the runway during an airshow!

Being ground crew, I take it this is a flying example? When might I be able to see one of these fly? Always wanted to see one fly with my own eyes.

Nope, sorry matey, it's not airworthy

The amount of money needed to get it flying again would amount to a jackpot win on the lotto

It gets "fast taxi runs" on a fairly regular basis

I wouldn't mind seeing some taxi runs and taking a few photos, would love to hear those engines. Are there published times for people to see this or is this not usually open for viewing?

We have a few open days each year. But if enough people want to go down and have a look, i'm sure i can arrange something

Welcome along to the forums mate. Good to have you on board.

I hope they'll be the usual cold war jets open day at the end of may so we can see the Bucc and all the other classics at Brunty blasting down the runway. I just hope if there is an open day this year that the weather's a bit kinder, it was like a monsoon at the last two may events as obviously you'll remember.

Cheers,
Steve
