In 2006 while on a family holiday in France, I screeched to a halt after driving past the entrance to this airfield. I'm struggling to get information on it's history but it was in existence in WW1, between the wars and WW2. It's still used by light aircraft today. At the beginning of WW2 it was a French Naval airfield. For those interested in memorials, I've included a (very :) ) rough translation of the inscription.

Great pics mate. Looks like a top place to look over. Those buildings are so different to the ones i'm used to :)
There must be some info on this place out there on the web somewhere bearing in mind it's history etc etc. I'll have a hunt around as well for you.

Memorial looks good btw.

Cheers Mick, I'll see you in the week.
