Good morning,

I found this forum quite by accident having "googled" Nobby Pearmund. I know nothing of him but my father in law gave me "Nobby's" flying helmet which dates back to 1942 apparently. All I know is that Nobby and my father in law were good friends and when Nobby died a few years ago, Nobby left him his flying helmet. Can anybody please tell me where I might be bale to find Nobby's RAF career during the war - archives somewhere or something please. From this forum I have already gleaned that he must have been an instructor at RAF Thame at some stage. Can anybody please shed any further light on his time in the RAF? You can reply either to the forum or to my email address of philip.rule2@virgin.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false . I would be very grateful for any information received.

Regards,

Phil Rule.

Nobby Pearmund spent most of the war as an A.T.A. pilot, for some
of the time based at 10 Ferry Pool Lossiemouth, but mostly at the
A.T.A. Advanced F.T.S. at Thame as a skilled flying instructor.
