Hi folks,

I stumbled accross this wonderful forum whilst looking for airfield pictures.

I am particularly interested in the following airfields: Attlebridge, Foulsham, Swannington, Ludham and Coltishall. If any member has an original plan of any of the above I would love to hear from them.

Many weekends I can be found looking into the WW2 defences around the North Norfolk coast.

Kind regards,

Rob

Hi Rob

Welcome to the forum! I am another one from east anglia, though I live in Suffolk, not far from Eye. I have site plans for Swanington, Attlebridge and Coltishall somewhere! I'd like to head out and re-visit Ludham sometime and have a good look at what is left there as I have only taken photos of the Control Towers.

You have probably seen my website, www.airfields.fotopic.net (http://www.airfields.fotopic.net) - quite a few photos on there!

Enjoy AiX and I look forward to seeing you on the fourm!

Welcome to the forum. I was staying at a camp site at Haveringland Hall (Swannigton) in 1973. Didn't know it was an airfield then!!

Hi folks,

Thank you for all your kind words. I have seen your website Richard, it too is an amazing archive of pictures. It would be great if you were able to dig out the sight plans. I have not been onto any of the sites (except to buy a Christmas tree from Attlebridge and to get something sand blasted at Swannington!) although though I have walked/driven around them quite a few times.

It is one of my planned projects to go and look around them but as with most projects may not be in the near future!

Cheers,
Rob
