The plaque is mounted on the wall of the old courthouse and overlooks the village green . It was dedicated on Sunday 11 December 1994 by Aldborough's vicar the Reverend Richard Cooper and was the idea of Churchwarden Aiden Foster who was 10 years old when the Lancaster crashed on the edge of the village .
