This was taken at a nearby agricultural show. I think it dates from the 1950`s and was owned at one time by Ferranti in Edinburgh.
Maybe it got it`s sporty looks from Aston Martin, also made by David Brown!

That's a really nice image Tam. This David Brown is (I think!) a model VIG which was the industrial version of DB's first tractor, the VAK-1. When the war came along all their tractor production went into these aircraft/bomb trolley tugs. I believe that the company didn't aquire Aston Martin till 1947 so this wouldn't have influenced the design of this tractor ,but it's a nice thought!

That is an awesome shot An SABT with 14 1000 pounders on carrier just like the intrepid band in the dump at akrotiri !!
