Hi Vic, Peter (PNK) will be interested in his new name - I guess he's been out in the hot sun today :-D.
The thread you refer to is HERE (http://www.airfieldinformationexchange.org/community/showthread.php?2948-Bowlee-Manchester)

Yes I prefer his new name too!
Welcome to the forum!
Never liked Pink it was always Esso Blue for us :)
Welcome Vic. It was the Balloon Depot I was looking for and eventually found that the RAF museum holds plans for it. Problem is there is a backlog on getting copies at the moment due to a broken copier. No airfield as far as I know. I have made a note to check my Bowlee stuff and add it to the original post. Keep an eye out for it.
By the way you don't have a record by a group called Department "S" do you :)
got an album by pink, lol i was asking about bowlee, because i used to live about 500 yards from it when i was a kid, it was dissused during all my chilhood, and what a playground it was. fantastic massive hangars, grass covered airaid shelters, loads of living quarters left up. Remember my dad making a shed out of one of the huts, lol, like to know a bit more about it, cheers everyone
