The 'One Show' is currently doing a weekly insert on WWII subjects. Last night they did 'The Battle of the Beams' and showed the ruined building of an 80 Wing jamming station at Charley in Leics.

It had substantial brick walls. Nothing in Brettingham's '80 Wing' book.

Eventually managed to find it WTP (http://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm?lat=52.74237237309232&lon=-1.3126357694822754&gz=19&oz=9&gt=1) Streetview (http://goo.gl/maps/I6nS)

my grandad was born in the old reformetly school just up the road from this ,ive bn by it 1000s of times and never knew what it was ,allways thorght it was just a old farm building .looking at it its too well built to be a farm building .theres also a concrete air raid shelter in the front garden of the 1st bungalow comeing up the hill ,allways thought it strange that a house out in the middle of nowhere wud have 1.about a mile away on charly road there used to be a large nissan hut ,it got burnt down about 10 yrs ago but theres still a asbestos nissan hut and another larger asbestos hut maybe these had something to do with it
