Hi, I've been pointed at this site as a useful source of information. And from my first look through it is certainly that. It's going to take me a while to get up to speed on my own areas of interest.
Speaking of which, I am particularly interested in the C20 military archaeology of West Norfolk. With a particular interest in bombing decoys, target ranges, defence batteries and defended positions.
I lookm forward to joining in, Al.

Welcome Alistair. I couild mention a number of other members with specific interests in that area, so you'll find plenty on this forum.

Thanks for the welcome Graham.
The photo is the decoy shelter near Wormegay, Norfolk. One of the decoy airfields for RAF Marham.

Hi Al, welcome to AIX. I am not too far away from you.
Good to see another decoy site shelter - it's similar to the one near me at Deeping, but strikingly different too.
Hi Al
Welcome to the forum! There is plenty here that to keep you entertained and I am sure you'll enjoy it.
Where abouts it the decoy at Wormegay?
Richard
Welcome to the forum. I have more than a passing interest in Bombing & Gunnery Ranges of which there were a few in your neck of the woods :)
Hello and welcome to the forum :)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
Richard, I'll copy across to the relevant part of this forum a report on the Wormegay decoy site that I posted on a certain UrbEx site. It will need updating though as I've turned up a bit more information since then (i.e. I've got hold of a copy of Fields of Deception.
Hello Alastair, I'm moving up to Kings Lynn next month - it's a small world !

Hi, welcome to the forum. Left that neck of the woods a little while ago myself. The history around Norfolk is fantastic, enjoy.

Hi Alastair, I'll certainly do that just as soon as I get settled into my new job.
That way I'll get to know at least one person in Norfolk ! (I'm also interested in 20th century history, particularly RAF & ROC).
Best wishes,
John
