A couple more of the R.34 memorial. This used to be located within the entrance to the main East Fortune site on the other side of the airfield from the south side site, where the museum is located. I can't remember when exactly it was moved, some time in the early 1990s, I think. There is an identical one located at Mineola, Long Island, NY where R.34 landed in the USA. The garden was done by some telly programme crew; Alan Titchmarsh and Charlie Dimmock and co maybe? I can't remember.

This last one was taken on the day in which the New Zealand monument was officially dedicated; note the New Zealand ensign flying from the flag pole. That was originally located at RAF Pitreavie Castle.

I remember now. Beechgrove Garden was the show. The garden around the R.34 memorial was done in 1997. The New Zealand memorial plaque was prepared by the New Zealand Society Scotland and was officially dedicated on 5 May 2002 and was attended by over 200 New Zealanders and invited guests, including the New Zealand Embassy representative Russell Marshall.
