I picked up these lights yesterday, can any one give me some information on they,
the tag says
Crouse-Hinds
type - HRC
cat.No- 44919

It looks like a 'copy' of the Bartow HILV lamp which is described here (http://www.airfieldinformationexchange.org/community/showthread.php?2548-The-Bartow-HILV-system).
What an interesting discovery. I've never seen one of these before. Where did you find it?

The Crouse-Hinds HRC light seems to have been introduced in 1958, according to one of their adverts of the time.
With the cast body and other improvements, it's basically an updated Bartow HILV.
I'd guess their current HRL-series elevated runway lights are the current incarnation.
