In 2008 a round blue plaque was dedicated in Torbay to the 55,000 aircrew who passed through there between 1940-1944. This can be seen at the English Riviera International Conference Centre. A fly past by the BBMF followed the dedication. Also an old window shutter from the former Rosetor Hotel, signed by many Pilots is to be installed within the Conference Centre. The shutter reads; 'All U/T Pilots who have lived in room 40 must sign before leaving'. From the photograph shown in the newsletter I can count about 20 signitures, wonder how many shutters were signed in total !
