Hello Everyone
What is the latest news on the development of the airfield at Swinderby (control tower and hangars, etc)? Plus what news on Newton and West Raynham?
My understanding is that West Raynham is to be sympathetically redeveloped, but has the recent downturn in the housing market effected things? I wrote to the new owner, enclosing a FREE copy of my book, and I didn't even receive a thank you.

As I understand it Swinderby is owned by CEMEX, (who are incredibly cagey about plans, and astonishingly rude about access), but logically the whole airfield will eventually become a quarry.
Of course at the moment the Swinderby antiques fair (as regularly featured on Bargain Hunt) brings in revenue, so it may well stay relatively intact for a while.
Shame the domestic site was so efficiently razed to the ground.

Swinderby. I couldn't believe that the entire barrack area had been totally erased when i visited the site last week, as for getting on the tec site i got on via the new entrance made for the new business units built beside the decontamination unit. I drove around the hangars and other buildings and wasn't approached.

Swinderby's entire domestic site was razed to make way for the town Witham St Hughes.
For some time the only thing to indicate Witham St Hughes existed was the sign. No houses, no nothing!
CEMEX will not tolerate anyone trespassing on the airfield site.
