Tibenham Airfield Memorial
Here is an image of the airfield memorial at Tibenham Airfield in
Norfolk to the 445th BG who flew B24' from the airfield during WWII
http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1125022/
It is a few yards to the south of the Gliding Club House behind some
bushes. it is in a small walled area and has two flag poles either
side The UK and US flags are raised on event days.
It faces west so you need to be there in the afternoon to get the sun
behind you for photo's.
The airfield sill has the majority of the 3 original runways intact
and is still in use today as a gliding and light aircraft site.
Best regards
Keith
