Hi Guys. I'm new here, but I am really enjoying it all. I have a mystery building shown below. It's on a hill, possibly called beacon hill north west of Martlesham in Suffolk. Obviously it's in a hot spot for WWII airfields etc. There are no signs or footpaths near it. I have trawled Google for hours trying to find reference to it. Could it genuinely be a secret tower? What do you think it is?

Looks better in Bing Bird's Eye but I can't seem to save the link so here's a grab:

I reckon it's a modern residence in keeping with the Beacon Hill location.
Had a quick look at the Martlesham Planning Applications archive but it's difficult to pin down.

The streetview shows a sign saying "Timbers" and a quick google points to a Timbers Guest House, Bealing Road, Martlesham so it could be something to do with them.
looks very much like an 18th century 'folly', its location is Dunnetts Hill Plantation and may be linked to the nearby and listed Beaconhill House.

A 19th century folly? Any stately homes close by that it could be linked to?
