While searching for something else I discovered the war memorial at Berrynarbor [ N.Devon] Listed on this memorial is Flt/Lieutenant. Trevor Sidney Francis Meadows. Sadly he was killed along with his Navigator F/O Ronald Brown of the RNZAF in Mosquito NF XIII HK517. They had taken off from RAF Hunsdon on 24-09-1944 and were brought down into a field at Wiesede. The Luftwaffe recovered their bodies but there is no-known grave. Flt/Lieutenant Meadows was only 26 years old. What makes this even worse is the sad fact that just two and a half months before this, on July 1st, Lieutenant Peter Meadows of the 77th Battalion Royal Tank Regiment was killed at 22 years old. These two heroes were brothers. RIP.
