Hi Kebecker, Many thanks for your pre-apologie regards the above photograph. Yes i have long since posted up some photographs of this memorial, You can see them on page 5 under Various Memorials. Have you also seen the photo's of the Lane End RCAF CREW that i posted and the Wellington plaque that includes a Canadian crew member. I'll find out some information about the lane end aircraft, i'm sure it's a Lancaster ? Unless ofcourse you already have this information ??

Thanks for that
It may well have been me, my memory is really bad at the moment, in fact it has got worse!! I am heading over to Corby in a couple weeks and I thought I might visit it on the way there.
I couldn't get the link to work, but the gliding strip should be easy enough to find, I have a map and flashearth!
Richard,
For reference the map ref is SP963859. It's on the road to Lyveden New Bield (an EH site)

Ohhh bu**er, think I fixed it, incidentally when I was there begining of MArch had a chat with a chap who was locking up the gliding club gate, he mentioned it was a really bad strip at that time of year because of bad drainage, he reckoned all the clubs in the area would be up and finding thermals.
