The plaque reads
Spitfire MkIX
This Spitfire is a replica of an aircraft flown by the Royal Canadian Iir Force from RCAF Digby during the period 1942-1945
It was dedicated on the 75th nniversary of the station to all personnel, service and civilian, who have served here at RAF Digby (previously known as RAF Scopwick and RCAF Digby) and also the former satellite airfields at Coleby Grange and Wellingore.
The airfield was opened on 28 March 1918

The Spitfire is located inside the perimiter of RAF Digby, but you walk past it when you visit the LIMA operations room, which I think is view by arrangement or Sundays(?) Spring to Autumn
