A good job team! Well done. Merging part of Paul's history of the incident with the memorial thread provides a poignant reminder.

Congratulations to all who have created and dedicated this memorial. It reminds us that "they also served" who only maintained aircraft in the 'sefety' of the English countryside.

I think that any memorial to our fallen hero's, past or present is a superb touch.

70 years ago the world was in turmoil due to one jumped up little corporal. Men & women of all ages answered the call & many paid the ultimate sacrifice (Not forgetting those millions of civilians either). To see a new memorial is always a great thing to see & I personally think that all involved in this one should be congratulated. I hope that the relatives of all those who perished in this awful accident are traced & informed as that would be a nice touch. Talking from the heart of a brother of a 29 year old serviceman who died in the service of his country ... To know their is a memorial to your family member means so very very much.

Well done to all involved - you should be very proud of yourselves for all you have achieved.

Research into the accident is still ongoing, albeit more slowly now the obvious lines of enquiry have been exhausted.

A snippet found in the Divisional Ordnance Officer's weekly reports from November 1934 seems to indicate movie footage of the aftermath was taken, later being included in a training film:

In conjunction with the Division Armament Officer, bomb handling safety precautions and necessary training were outlined to Ordnance and Armament Officers and Squadron non-coms at Station 128 (Deenethorpe). Film on Ridgewell and Alconbury accidents was shown.
