As I said - get John Burn One-Zero-Five - you will not be disappointed. I was writing an article for Airfield Review but was pipped to it by this book and a short article from someone else at the time of the sale.
There is a document here that has some good pictures of the airfield.
http://www3.northamptonshire.gov.uk/...ormat396MB.pdf
It has a great aerial photo from 1976 which pre-dates the After the Battle one by two years and shows demolition just starting. It also has a 1947 photo as well. There are plans from the Airfield Focus series included.

Given that GMS Enterprises are the world's leading publisher of all things aviation and we AiX are the world's leading aviation forum and airfield archive, what we need is Graham at GMS to donate one copy of everything he has published!
Now that would be gesture. What are we up to - nearly 80 in the Airfield Focus series alone?
Don't know if anyone noticed and I maybe I'm wrong, but the linked document PNK has posted, the page with the Airfield focus scan on it (page 29) states the main hangar was a Type C. I thought it was a Type J aircraft shed ( or Type K) at Chelveston.

Not a 'C' as it has a curved roof. I assumed it was another typo.
More old pics, first three from 1994 and last two from summer 97:
Taken 06/94, this is south of the main A/F site looking vaguely west I think as the airfield is off picture to the right.
Close up of one of the dispersed sites above.
Airfield site proper, old MQs to the rear.
Closer view of the tatty hanger. Sorry about the discolouration bottom left. Could it have been my fingers?
Old bomb dump area. Matches up nicely with the ground shots previous I think.
No, it was demolished a couple of years ago.
The windsock mast from the roof is now incorporated into the 305BG Memorial in Chelveston village.
I have found two more prints, from 11-06-94. These views should slot in with the ones already posted.
