1968 - This one shows the (then) new 'Overseas Hangar' built for the great white elephant the Belfast aircraft which went on to have a fairly successful career in civil hands.

I always thought the Belfast has a "Russian" look to it.

I have just been sort of writing about my life including my time in the RAF.

I am now up to my first tour overseas in RAF Bahrain and I came across this very useful thread which covers a lot of my time there but it is mostly about Hunters in 1963/64 although the Beverley's do get a mention.

I would like to get in touch with the author to thank him for the memory jogging.
