    Fauld was re-visited a couple of times after the WW2 explosion.

    There were only a few BD Flights left in the mid-60' and Fauld was covered by a 'northern' flight although I can't recall where it was based. The team was probably using Stafford as a base whilst they did the job and, yes, 110 WB Landrovers with Sankey 5cwt trailers and Bedford 3 ton RLs were the vehicles of choice.

    MoD Stafford house the RAFM Reserve collection and access is not easy to arrange. I was fortunate to be invited along when Jerry arranged a visit in October 2008. Here are some pictures of what was there then.

    Excellent pics Richard; I'm pleased at the diversity of the 'relics'. A Martin-Baker MB 2 canopy??!!

    I suspect that the 'airfield' lighting indicator board is non-specific.

    All the buildings in picture 2 are due to be demolished within the next 2 weeks and the large concrete building in top left corner of pic has been flattened and there just a pile of hard core now
