That's quite a shine on that missile, is that to help with punching through the atmosphere?
Nice work, couldn't you bring the Landy a little closer?
More background clutter...

The Landy is there simply to break up the tarmac between the hangars, I'll maybe move it later.
As for the shiny Thor, it's the same surface all over as in the earlier grab, an off-white "paint" with a thin "clearcoat" on top.
I'm running another render now, with the sun shifted around the other way to see if that comes out better...![]()
I marvel at what can be done in Sketch-up and simialr packages. I tried to produce a simple 7ft eight corner radar reflector. Failed after creating square number one.
Ha ha. sketchup is a bit tricky to start with in getting the geometry on the right face, and the tutorials are not as good as they could be. My advice is to work through the examples to see how they work, then apply that to your RADAR reflector.
Or call in a favour with PB...![]()
I don't think any of us can match PB's skill with sketchup.
First draft of the RIM Building's companion, the Technical Supply Building.
This was basically the main stores building for each wing's Thor-specific items.
One end had a pair of loading ramps built, plus a large room either side of the doors, one for external stores the other for external issues.
This area was seperated from the rest of the hangar by a chain-link fence with vehicle gates in the centre.
The octagonal area and the two rectangular areas are marked on the building drawings, unfortunately they are not identified at all.

So when do we see a full on Wing HQ in SketchUp?
You'll be wanting an S&I Building doing next...
Oh wait, there it is:

That's uncanny, I took a photo inside the North Luffenham S&I building by poking my camera through a slot beside the roller shutter (the lights were on inside...) It looks just like this.
I'll not post the picture up here because of what was inside, but watch your e-mail in the next half an hour...
