This is a photocopy of photocopy & was rescued from a waste bin at CAA Head Office Gatwick along with various other airfield plans (they were part of a handbook of military airfields), being junked.
That is from a Fleet Air Arm Handbook and also included in AIR 10/4039 (one of the appendices). It must have been an old ducument as I think that was from 1944!
Although it might have survived without update for a few years.
This is our history these Civil Servants are chucking - they should consult us first, we do pay their wages![]()
John, that is excellent, it shows that the NE/SW runway crossed the B3192.
Would you mind if I incorporated that in my webpage on Haldon - and do you have a larger scan you could eMail - with the letter Key at the bottom of the page complete?
Hi Dave
Of course very happy for you to use it. New scans inc. the write up from Haldon from the handbook. If no use, let me know and i will try bigger scans if you give me your email address.Haldon1.jpgHaldon2.jpg
Thankyou John - that's just fine.
