And the publicity-seeking shadow
On Saturday 7th April , the Riviera Amateur Radio Club will be on the air from Haldon as part of the "Airfields on the Air " event....look for us on 40m/7mhz (SSB) and 2m/145mhz(FM) using the gallsigns MX0RIV, G2DXU/M and G4OTU/P(that's me) .
This is a photocopy of photocopy & was rescued from a waste bin at CAA Head Office Gatwick along with various other airfield plans (they were part of a handbook of military airfields), being junked.
That is from a Fleet Air Arm Handbook and also included in AIR 10/4039 (one of the appendices). It must have been an old ducument as I think that was from 1944!
Although it might have survived without update for a few years.
This is our history these Civil Servants are chucking - they should consult us first, we do pay their wages
John, that is excellent, it shows that the NE/SW runway crossed the B3192.
Would you mind if I incorporated that in my webpage on Haldon - and do you have a larger scan you could eMail - with the letter Key at the bottom of the page complete?
Thankyou John - that's just fine.
