Lovely restoration, the windows even look Crittall like. The Navy towers always look so majestic.
Looking forward to seeing it on the telly.

Yes, I give that the thumbs up but I'm not enamoured of the external colour. Part of the heating system perhaps?

Nice image that showing the original Watch Office for Fighter Satellite Stations 17658/40 and the Naval tower.
Thankfully Meteor N.F(T).14 WS774 went on to happier things and is now nicely restored and on display at the Malta Aviation Museum.

The date for the Restoration Man programme has been published

    DIY: The Restoration Man
    On: Channel 4 HD
Date: Saturday 24th January 2015 (starting in 14 days)
    Time: 18:30 to 19:30 (1 hour long)

London couple Justin Hooper and Charlotte Seddon have a dramatic vision for a derelict World War II airfield control tower in the Scottish Highlands. But simply restoring the 700 window panes to their original modernist look swallows 40% of their budget. The difficulties of project managing the build from 600 miles away make it increasingly hard for the family to make the final leap from London. George helps them realise their vision for these 4000 square feet of military space, and meets the people who were willing to sacrifice everything as the tower played its crucial role during the war.

Incidentally a quadrant / observation tower was going to be demolished and a house built on the site. The owner was persuaded to modify the existing structure and convert to a residence.

A shame the little building that looked like an outside loo with a big window has now gone, that was a dive screen shelter. I believe the arrow is still there but the vegetation has covered it quite well.
