So i have read in Norwich pauls excellent book the type 15424/41 had a seperate r c chapel and vestry which was seperated by a wooden partition at the rear of chancel/altar.
Post up a picture and then i can see if that is the type built there if not im sure someone on here might know.

have just looked in pauls excellent book
the vestry is a continuation of the chancel whilst at weston zoyland
it is a seperate building built at the side of the chancel
all are in excellent condition as now used as local village community centre
on the site plans it does state it is a vestry
the only other buildings in the same area are 2 standbys

    Interesting.

It's as if they've cut the Church Extension off at the centre wall, and built the remainder alongside.
I can only imagine that there wasn't room to fit the whole extension in between the Gym and the site boundary.

Gymnasium 16428/40 with Church Extension 15424/41:

As built at Westonzoyland, with the RC Chapel and Vestry alongside the Chancel instead of in line:

Basically built to the same AM Drawing, but altered to suit local conditions I suspect.

    All the best,
    PB
