The chap made the interior of the blister hangar (free gunnery trainer building) and the remaining adjacent crew locker room and the Gas Clothing and Respirator store available to us to photograph last year. I'm not 100% certain that it is the same bloke who owns the Admin site. As for the remaining runway threshold, the track is owned by David Parson of Stock Hall and the actual runway bit is under ownership of Michael Scantlebury.
Back into me hole I go.....
I don't know what the tubular thing is Raptor, but you have gathered up some broken pieces of plough blade there, not B26! The tips of plough blades are a not uncommon sight on these old airfields due to all those lumps of concrete in the ground.
Yeah tbh mate i didnt think it was anything to do with the airfield.
Nice shots Stevie
Anita wasnt in when i went there yesterday but ive left my number with her and her friend said shed get her to call me back to arrange a quick visit
Just to let you know that particular Nissen is built on what is left of a loop hardstand and was put up by the peoplewho own the bungalow built on the other bit of the hardstand.
The hoops and cladding may have come from elsewhere on the airfield though.
Ah ok. Thanks for clearing that up Denis
