The drawing number for the RSP shown is 4552/45

I have mixed feelings about Yatesbury. I was sent there in 1959 as a candidate for some kind of selection board where I was asked what I knew about thermionic valves. 'Who? Me Sir? I'm a plumber but don't do hot water!' Transpired they were selecting armament tradesmen for guided missile maintenance. But, I digress. My memory of Yatesbury for that weeks stay is that it was bleak and one of the coldest places on the planet. Timber huts with coke stoves but no coke fuel. Miles from nowhere so nowhere to go. No beer in the NAAFI due to kegs iced up!
