Put them in a Never Mind The Buzzcocks Line up & let Noel & Phil choose.

Now come on chaps, this is getting a bit personal. I will retreat now down my own fall-out shelter.

On a more serious note, there have been three more marker stones erected in April 2012. These are at:
    Ayr Racecourse
    Errol
    Findo Gask

And it looks like more lumps of granite will appear at Tealing, Montrose and Balado Bridge over the weekend of 19 & 20 May 2012.

Whether you like the "stones" or not ,you have to give the man 10 out of 10 for persistence.

In a way it's good that they are putting one of there so called memorials up at Podington because now everyone will be able to compare there soulless lump of concrete (or plastic or whatever) with the fine memorial that's already in place at the airfield that excellently serves it's true purpose. Some how I think it'll show the Airfield Of Britain Conservation Trust Memorial up for what it actually is.

Good quality but fairly boring lump of marble, unfortunately sourced from overseas from what I remember?

Totally agree with your post though, putting one of these identikit "McMorials" next to a decent, existing local one is baffling to say the least.

I hope that it's not situated anywhere near the PROPER memorial at Podington. If he must keep erecting these things it should be well away from any existing memorial. He shouldn't be given permission anyway, unless it's a proper-looking monument that's suitable to that particular airfield.
