    Due to constant vandalism, This memorial that was first dedicated in 1965 was later moved to St Cuthberts church. It being Re-Dedicated again in September 1988. On my visit there in August 1992 the two flanking plaques were almost un-readable. It was originally un-veiled by Alex Henshaw, Chief test pilot.

    Took this one today. Couldn't get close up as the memorial is behind locked gates

    Then went down the road to the sculpture at 'Spitfire Island' which marks the entrance to Castle Vale where the old factory used to stand
