Keep noticing this as I drive from Long Bennington to Bottesford, its in a field just off the road at Normanton, thought there may be some better/internal photos on this thread, but can't seem to find any, but I'm probably searching for the wrong thing, can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Thankyou, I didn't go into the field as I was being carefully watched by a group of dog walkers, I'll try and find out who owns it and see if I can get a closer look, looks great from your photos!
Its in pretty good condition and clean inside.was presumably built as part of the defences for Bottesford airfield
I think so, a quick google seems to indicate it's a type FW3/22, but I know nothing about this type of building at all so not sure if that's correct, sure someone will put me right and confirm what we think.
It is a 22 DOB listed as PILLBOX (AIR MINISTRY PATTERN): S0000531 Description: 04/1996 A standard type pillbox, presumably built as part of the defences of Bottesford Airfield nearby. 01/04/1995 Reinforced concrete with brick skin both inside and out. Concrete roof, embrasures and lintels. Y' shaped concrete anti ricochet wall. Hexagonal. Concrete shelves under embrasures.
Thanks! From the road it looked in great condition.
