Hello as this is airfield related I read a Book from my local libary' and said there was a airstrip ww1 kingswinford stourbridge near hotel .summerhill road on main a449 .joinings.that took off after zepperlin raids of 1916 in west midlands. anybody know of this strip........
is it well known but ww1. ..it was as I know decomisinated after war..........there was no Hangers just tents...

I'm a new guy,can anyone tell me if a WW1 airfield was at kingswinford. west midlands..at the back of a hotel .
it was a small feild..as i read from a book.but the books name as gone..
it said a ww1 airstrip for zeppelin raids.had 2 be 12 ds. for interseptions..

yes but was this at the back of the hotel in kingswinford. the night landing ground, yes.correct for zepperlin attacks.
