just reading though EDP24 on line and found this item regarding a new site for a large factory on the airfield;

makes me feel sick to see Halesworth getting torn apart like that, at least the remaining buildings should be pretty safe as most are occupied by other businesses. i honestly dont see why airfields arnt 'listed'? being such an important part of British history, a place where so many men lost there lifes for us just getting ripped up like that, is not right.

got bored today so went for a little bike ride round the old Halesworth site, found this shelter, im under the impression its for the sick quarters? its near to Holton pit.

thanks, yeah its a 30s/40s bicycle iv got a couple of them, this one has 353rd FG painted on the white tip on the rear mudguard.
