    QUEBEC - Windsor Mills / BCATP #4 EFTS

    My very good friend Doug Reich flew Mustang 1's from Sawbridgeworth in 1943. He did his flying training at Windsor Mills in 1942.
    The image is of a Fleet Finch primary biplane trainer parked in front of the flying control tower at Windsor Mills.

    have tried to locate the airfield 4 EFTS, I have a feeling it is now the DOMTAR pulp mill. Any one have more relevant intell?

    on google earth, the exact location is : 45 31'09.99'' N 72 01'53.70'' W
    very few remains.

    I know, it'd be interesting to see a wartime aerial if one exists to compare the two

    must be our lucky day!, look for image 415-052 in the available downloads below

    there is a fairly large set of pictures of various BCATP airfields in this link, it looks like they are used with permission from the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum in Brandon, Manitoba.

    They have done a great job in listing all the site on google
