AAAAAAHHHHH!
The object upside-down in front of the tower appears to be a WWII British Airborne lightweight 10cwt trailer MkI, complete with the rectangular axle reflector board and both parking legs.

And there is me thinking what a nice tower it is. Had I known about the significance of the trailer I would have picked it up and strapped it to my motorbike and took it home - well not really but I would have took a beter pic of it.
I'm hoping to visit Turweston towards the end of march. I've had a look on Flash Earth etc and seen a few remaining relics to have a look at but can't locate the control tower.
Can anybody tell me if it's still there? (i'm not exactly going to be suprised to find out that it isn't to be honest but...fingers crossed!!)
Cheers,
Steve

Sorry about the orientation of the pictures...I think i'm having problems with the new site! I'll leave the picture of the Watch Office until I can manage to parachute past the caravans on the site!!

Mick

Lovely photos, and one to keep Carnaby happy there too.
Turweston is listed as "Contact Lighting Required ASAP" in the Audit, and it would appear it was indeed installed.
All the best,
PB
