Robin, yes I think the parachute store is original. The area behind it is where the two boats are adjacent to the car park. Not sure where tha barrack blocs were in relation to it all. There is a workshop type building next to the parachute store.

It is modelled on 31 MU Llanberis underground secure store.

I thought it was one of those inflatable structures held up with positive air pressure.
There is an interesting podcast on the museums website talking about finding a location for an Aeronautical Museum for the RAF.
