Just out of interest St Mawgan had a beacon on its secondary runway only during the war.

Many Coastal Command airfields in particular had a number of beacons, e.g..
Leuchars and St Eval had SBA and two sets of ASVBA.
St Davids and Sullom Voe had two sets of ASVBA.
Thornaby and Holmesley had one SBA and one ASVBA.
Ford and Predannack had SBA, AIBA, and ASVBA.
It was later found that problems experienced when two landing aids were installed on the same runway went away when separate runways were used. Most, if not all of these stations would also have a homing beacon - typical range 80 miles.
