Nice photos Mark, looks like some of the aircraft have seen better days though.
Interesting to see another Mustang painted up as 'Ferocious Frankie' - we have one over here too!
Is the museum open to the public or is it part of the base?

Nice pictures- nice place - I went there in October 91 - the Base Open Day...and there seems to be a good few new aircraft since then.
For anyone interested the KC-97(like many other exhibits) is ex AMARC/MASDC ( Park code CH594)Davis Monthan - one of approx 60 seen there in 1981.Those were the days!
Great to hear they are being worked on, some lovely aircraft there..
See more about Robins at http://www.robins.af.mil/
It is also useful to note that most American Air Force Bases have a home page.
The thing I remember most about my visit on the Open Day in 1991 was pilot who did an amazing aerobatic sequence in a Beech 18 (C-45)....he did the sort of stuff you might expect from an aircaft such as a Chipmunk ... loops , rolls inverted ,etc...totally amazing, and - according to the commentator - it was all carried out with positive G. ...the aircraft was N9729H - but I can't remember his name .
Can't help you there Dave I was stationed at RAF Alconbury then
