Sorry for the post above but I screwed it up.

From 1966 to 1968 I went on Armament Practice Camp to El Adem 4 times with 54 Sqdn Hunters from West Raynham.

I am sort of writing about my life and have reached West Raynham and would like to post some pictures which may be of interest.

I have some Google Earth stuff but I did a screen shot and saved it to word and the file is around 1.3 mB and I can only post to 445 kB.

Any ideas on how to reduce the file size?

Save it as a .jpg file....this should be much smaller...sounds like you have a .bmp or.tif at the moment.

A different film every night at the pictures, brilliant. And if I ahd to name my all time favourite film I would say it was Guns at Batasi,"I do not see you now Mr Boniface!".

    Great pics billd766.

The temporary buildings seen behind the 'gun' were known as Twynhams and appear to be the post war replacement for the Nissen. RAF Muharraq (Bahrein) had the same type.

El Adem was not what you might call the entertainment centre of Libya and there very few people who would miss the film for being on duty hence I assume the nightly changes.
