Terrific looking buildings, looks like Staffordshire has some gems hidden away. They look to have been cared for for a while.

Nice pics Ian.
The green door legend probably refers to Aeronautical Inspection Services (A.I.S.) inspectors who would have been working at Tatenhill post-war when the airfield was used for aircraft munitions storage.
The bomb store was of early war pattern and there appears to be a surviving building:
Building No 46 - An Incendiary bomb and Pyrotechnic Store to AM Drawing 18485/40
Appears to be in fair condition. A number of the HE Bomb Stores appear to be intact but deteriorating as is the road system.

I like the look of the triple Link trainer as well as the Nissen.
have you any idea what the other buildings were ?
I am always on the look out for 'new' buildings to photograph and record, (draw plans for).![]()
The Nissen structure in the background of photo 3 is a Crew Locker and Drying Rooms building, photo 4 is the drying room section with the boiler room on the right.
The bomb dump shows up well in Google Earth, there's some serious roadway loopage going on there. Must have sent the armourers dizzy at times.
All the best,
PB
