There was an article about Tatenhill in Pilot about a year ago. The land actually belongs to the Queen, or to exact the Duchy of Lancaster.

Sadly another WW2 building has recently been demolished at Tatenhill - the corrugated iron hut shown in the photos above. Replaced with Portakabins... How long will the remaining buildings survive ?

I was suprised with just how much is still standing here at Tatenhill despite the buildings being demolished recently. Just need to go back and see if it's possible to photograph the BHQ,Bomb Dump and Gun Butt next time. Cheers to Tigger for the company on this visit -
Thanks for identifying the buildings PTE. Here are:
An aerial view of the domestic site between the A5017 and A5234, taken in May 2012, to complement tigger and Stevie's photos above...
And the area NW of the main airfield, now used for motorsport. The fuel pump house can just be made out, left of centre in the upper area. The buildings above are under the wing tip.

Spotted the Battle HQ at Tatenhill today.
Couldn't get too close, those weeds, bracken and nettles are over 6' high - I'm holding the camera above my head and I'm 6' - and we were a bit short of time, but it looks to be in good condition still...
The bomb dump may have been swallowed up by the landscaping at the new National Football Academy, although GE shows it still extant. Somewhere to explore next visit - there's a handy public footpath running just outboard of the eastern peri track into that area.
