Was out at Old Buck at the weekend and it seems the new management are improving the airfield defences :

It should certainly deter anyone trying to flee without paying the landing fee - or doing a runner from the cafe

A photo of an approach to Old Buckenham yesterday (24.05.2012) on what must be the most hazy day this year so far ! from the ground, at 13:00 hrs it looked good, but as soon as we got to 1500ft it was horrible ! almost like flying in fog ! but the air temp was +20 ???? so two circuits and land !

It was a beautiful day but even on the approach you can see how hazy it was!

I'm trying to locate a set of the original drawings for this airfield and am not having much luck, I've tried to contact the RAF Museum a number of times but haven't received a reply on any of my attempts. I'm working on a project for a museum for the 453rd and would greatly appreciate any help I can get on this.
