This base was demolished soon after the end of ww2 . All buildings were torn down by the government in a messy way as to still cause concern and comments with the residents. Walking along the former building foundations there are piles of material left over from the buildings themselves..

First one is looking towards the main runway, second one is of the hangar door track or cleats. Third and fourth are of the piles of debris from the demolition and the last one is of the hangar base..

Thanks to the folks on the forum, we discovered that my dear old Dad served at Mossbank while training as a bomb aimer in the summer of 1944.I thought I should add some pics found with his logbook to contrast with the "now" pics. I think that Basil Rathbone must have recently been on at the station cinema!
