Virden Manitoba was abusy training station during the war. Sadly there is only one hangar remaining. The gun butt was close to the new airport entrance and was demolished a couple of years ago. The hangar is pretty much derelict and will not last much longer...

It seems they are knocking down alot of these BCATP hangars recently, are there any that will be preserved?

Richard, Brandon Manitoba has a great collection and museum based in one of the original hangars. They spent alot of money on repairs and structural reinforcment of the framing in the roof so she will last another 50 years!

This hangar was torn down recently...

Fortunately some interior doors and alot of reuseable wood was recovered for reuse by the BCATP Museum and others...
